Colophon or Rosin is made from the resin of trees (pine mostly) and is used in copious amounts on bow hair to create the classic sawtooth waveform that is the signature sound common to all string music. Colophon is also the flux ingredient and key to making traditional solder work its magic in the construction of any circuit board.
